Jubilee Association of Maryland provides opportunities and support for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to live in and enrich their community while fulfilling their personal, family, social and spiritual needs. We are a faith-based nonprofit located in Montgomery County, Maryland. 

We are looking for two people: 

A. A part-time counselor for one gentleman who lives in Chevy Chase every other Saturday and Sunday. Saturdays will vary between 12p-8p and 12p-10p, with flexibility depending on the staff’s schedule and the family’s schedule.  Sundays will be 12p-8p.

B.  We are also seeking a male counselor for another young man in Kensington Tuesday 4-7 and also on Saturday varying per his work schedule, most likely varying between 12p-5p and 2p-7p.

Duties:  Transport to activities, ensure that people have opportunities for fun and recreation outside the house, communicate with family members, administer medications if needed, assist with personal care if needed, implement IP and document, assist with running of household including grocery shopping, meal planning, cooking, etc.

Rate of pay: $12.20.


  • Minimum of HS diploma and two year's related experience.
  • Maryland DDA training (behavior principles & strategies, communication skills, CPR, etc.,) and the Maryland Board of Nursing medication class strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work well with and form positive relationships with participants and their family members, co-workers, employers, etc.
  • Willingness and ability to help people connect with events and groups in the community.
  • Valid driver's license, at least 3 years' driving experience, clean driving record, own vehicle preferred.
